(No Date) Ja Rule has recently co-produced his new video here is what Yahoo! Music Guide reports: After coming up with a concept for the clip, the New York rapper realized he couldn't fully execute the vision on his own. Rule decided to call director Hype Williams, whose video work is normally identified by its flash and its seemingly endless supply of voluptuous women. But because the song deals with Rule's reliance on his significant other for strength, he knew that Williams's typical visuals wouldn't work. The result is a video that shows Rule writing and speaking with his girlfriend once he becomes incarcerated. It stands in stark contrast to the video for the single "Between Me And You," which showed a feisty man who was the object of desire for several exquisite women. "I wanted to do something different from a video where I'm just getting the girl, which is what everybody is used to seeing me in," Ja Rule told LAUNCH about the video for "Put It On Me." "I wanted to hit home with this one because it's a real-life situation."
